Jason Gerken is an American author and artist. Jason has worked in various life safety roles while writing and producing his literary works. Currently Jason works as a Fire Apparatus Engineer/Paramedic for the State of California. He also works for the City of Carlsbad and the City of Oceanside as a Beach Lifeguard/Paramedic.
Jason has recently written and self published his first book ‘Magic Stardust’. He writes witty and funny poems for children with amusing hand drawn images to accompany them. The poetry is rhythmic and packed with clever jokes and insights on life viewed from a child’s point of view. The sing song rhythm of the poetry is perfect for kids to read out loud and may even inspire them to write poetry of their own. Jason writes in a playful mischievous style with good moral lessons threaded throughout the text. Humor with a heart and also poetry that is meant to inspire children to be the best people they can be. Many of his poems have a similar feel to Dr. Seuss or Shel Silverstein and are appropriate for children and people of all ages. He lives with his family in California.
